Hi there! 

I'm Dr. Alyssa - I'm a pharmacist by training and a mother by God's grace.  And that's my sweet boy Finn.  Working almost a decade in pharmacy has left me appreciating modern medicine...but it also left me hungry to understand how we can improve health to PREVENT disease. 

That passion for holistic health was taken to a whole new level once becoming a mother.  What started as a desire to help him grow into his happiest, healthiest, strongest, and smartest self, led to an passion...okay, obsession..with protective nourishment. 

In other words, how we can use food as medicine to protect and defend our child's health to ultimately reduce their risk for or prevent disease.

Guidelines and recommendations are very good reference points, but that does not mean they apply to all babies.  I am a strong advocate for parents taking the lead role in their child's health.
